Jack Russell Terrier

The Jack Russell Terrier is a saucy little dog that has taken the United States by storm.  Thanks in part to the popularity of Frasier’s "Eddie", the spunky dog on the popular TV sitcom, this British import has become a very popular breed of pet.  JRTs, as they are commonly called, are cute, charming and very smart.  They also have complex and distinctive personalities that are very different from other breeds of dogs. They are a big dog in a little dog’s body and are fun, fearless, and funny to be around.  JRTs are adorable little white bundles of joy, but they are also pushy, extremely active and have a voracious appetite for attention.  It takes time, patience and a sense of humor to tolerate their endless antics and tireless energy.  Even though some owners refer to their JRT as a "Jack Russell Terrorist", to them, there is no other breed worth considering to be a member of their family.  Let us explore the history, characteristics, and personality traits of this fascinating breed of terrier.
